The majority of the spoils of war were distributed to the Muhajirun, the Muslims who had migrated from Mecca to Medina, as they were in greater need. They had left behind their homes, properties, and belongings in Mecca when they migrated, and were struggling to establish themselves in their new home.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the Muslim community in Medina were aware of the difficulties faced by the Muhajirun, and therefore, the distribution of the spoils of war was done in a way that would help alleviate their suffering. The Muhajirun were given a larger share of the spoils, which included goods such as food, clothing, and other essential items, as well as a portion of the war booty that was collected during the battles.

This distribution of spoils was done in accordance with the Islamic principle of "qist" or "justice," which emphasizes the importance of fairness and equality in the distribution of resources. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the Muslim community in Medina wanted to ensure that the spoils of war were distributed in a way that would benefit the community as a whole, and that would help to reduce the suffering of those who were in need.

It's worth noting that the distribution of spoils of war was not only limited to material goods, but also included the distribution of knowledge, skills, and other forms of support that would help the Muhajirun to establish themselves in their new home. The Muslim community in Medina also provided support and assistance to the Muhajirun in other ways, such as providing them with housing, food, and other necessities.llama2-70b
