DAY 174: Furkan 53-60

• DAY 174: Furkan 53-60

   And He is the One Who merges the two bodies of water: one fresh and palatable and the other salty and bitter, placing between them a barrier they cannot cross. And He is the One Who creates human beings from a ˹humble˺ liquid, then establishes for them bonds of kinship and marriage. For your Lord is Most Capable. Yet they worship besides Allah what can neither benefit nor harm them. And the disbeliever always collaborates against their Lord. And We have sent you ˹O Prophet˺ only as a deliverer of good news and a warner. Say, “I do not ask you for any reward for this ˹message˺, but whoever wishes, let them pursue the Way to their Lord.” Put your trust in the Ever-Living, Who never dies, and glorify His praises. Sufficient is He as All-Aware of the sins of His servants. ˹He is˺ the One Who created the heavens and the earth and everything in between in six Stages, then established Himself on the Throne. ˹He is˺ the Most Compassionate! Ask ˹none other than˺ the All-Knowledgeable about Himself. When it is said to them, “Prostrate to the Most Compassionate,” they ask ˹in disgust˺, “What is ‘the Most Compassionate’? Will we prostrate to whatever you order us to?” And it only drives them farther away.

      Allah describes the meeting point of freshwater rivers and salty oceans, yet they do not mix—a scientific phenomenon observed in estuaries.    This symbolizes the divine balance in creation and Allah’s power to maintain boundaries.    Water as the origin of life: Humans are created from water (sperm), and familial ties are established through marriage.
      Nature’s precision reflects Allah’s wisdom; His signs are everywhere for those who reflect.  
          Idolaters worship powerless false gods (idols, wealth, status) that cannot help or harm them.    The Prophet’s (sav) mission is purely to guide and warn, not to seek personal gain.   He asks for no reward except that people turn to Allah.
      Worshiping anything besides Allah is futile; true success lies in serving Him alone.
          Allah’s eternal nature: Unlike mortal idols, He alone is Ever-Living and sustains all creation.    Creation in six days: A reminder of His power and authority (not literal "days," but divine periods).    Disbelievers mock prostration: Their arrogance prevents them from submitting to "Ar-Rahman" (The Most Merciful).
      Arrogance blinds people to truth; humility is the key to faith.
     
      Allah’s signs—like the unmixing seas and human creation—prove His sovereignty, yet disbelievers reject Him out of arrogance, while the Prophet (sav) calls them to worship the Ever-Living Lord without seeking any worldly return.

• DAY 173: Tonight's Dua
•  O Allah, thank You for every blessing You’ve given me—big and small. Thank You for my body, my home, my faith (Iman), and every breath I take. Forgive me if I ever forgot to thank You enough.

  Help me use Your gifts in a way that pleases You. Keep me and my family safe, healthy, and close to You. Let me wake up tomorrow with even more gratitude in my heart. Ameen!

DAY 172: Furkan 45-52

• DAY 172: Furkan 45-52

  •  Have you not seen how your Lord extends the shade—He could have simply made it ˹remain˺ still if He so willed—then We make the sun its guide, causing the shade to retreat gradually? He is the One Who has made the night for you as a cover, and ˹made˺ sleep for resting, and the day for rising. And He is the One Who sends the winds ushering in His mercy, and We send down pure rain from the sky, giving life to a lifeless land, and providing water for countless animals and humans of Our Own creation. We certainly disperse it among them so they may be mindful, but most people persist in ungratefulness. Had We willed, We could have easily sent a warner to every society. So do not yield to the disbelievers, but strive diligently against them with this ˹Quran˺.

        Allah highlights the miracle of shadows—their lengthening, shortening, and movement are orchestrated by Him through the sun.     This reflects perfect divine control over creation; even a "simple" shadow follows Allah’s laws.
        Nature’s phenomena are signs (ayat) of Allah’s power and mercy for those who reflect. 
            Night is a mercy for rest; day revives activity (like a "resurrection").    Rain is another mercy: Winds herald it, and water rejuvenates barren land, sustaining life for humans and animals.
        Every natural cycle is a deliberate act of Allah’s grace, yet many remain ungrateful.
              Rain’s distribution is a universal sign, yet most people ignore its spiritual lesson (Allah’s power to give life).    Allah could have sent a prophet to every community, but He chose to test humanity with collective guidance.
        Signs are everywhere, but willful rejection stems from arrogance, not lack of evidence.
            A direct command to the Prophet (ﷺ): Stand firm against disbelievers’ pressure and counter them with the Quran’s truth.     "Striving" (jihad) here refers to intellectual and spiritual struggle through dialogue and patience.
        The believer’s weapon is the Quran—not violence, but persistent, wise communication.
        
        Allah’s signs in nature—like shadows, rain, and day-night cycles—are clear proofs of His mercy and power, yet the disbelievers reject them, so the Prophet (sav) must confront their arrogance with the Quran’s unwavering truth.

DAY 171:Furkan 35-44

• DAY 171:Furkan 35-44

  •  We certainly gave Moses the Book and appointed his brother Aaron as his helper. We had ordered ˹them˺, “Go to the people who would deny Our signs.” Then We annihilated the deniers entirely. And when the people of Noah rejected the messengers, We drowned them, making them an example to humanity. And We have prepared a painful punishment for the wrongdoers. Also ˹We destroyed˺ ’Ȃd, Thamûd, and the people of the Water-pit, as well as many peoples in between. For each We set forth ˹various˺ lessons, and We ultimately destroyed each. They have certainly passed by the city ˹of Sodom˺, which had been showered with a dreadful rain ˹of stones˺. Have they not seen its ruins? But they do not expect to be resurrected. When they see you ˹O Prophet˺, they only make fun of you, ˹saying,˺ “Is this the one that Allah has sent as a messenger? He would have almost tricked us away from our gods, had we not been so devoted to them.” ˹But˺ soon they will know, when they face the punishment, who is far astray from the ˹Right˺ Way. Have you seen ˹O Prophet˺ the one who has taken their own desires as their god? Will you then be a keeper over them? Or do you think that most of them listen or understand? They are only like cattle—no, more than that, they are astray from the ˹Right˺ Way!

        Allah recounts how He supported Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron) with revelation and authority.   The disbelievers of their time (like Pharaoh’s people) rejected signs and were utterly destroyed.
        Allah’s messengers are always supported, but those who deny them face annihilation.   
            Allah lists destroyed nations (Noah’s people, ‘Ad, Thamud, etc.) as warnings for later generations.    These people were given clear signs but chose disbelief and corruption.
        History repeats itself—those who reject truth face the same fate as past destroyed nations.
            The disbelievers mock the Prophet(sav) and dismiss the idea of resurrection, despite seeing ruins of past punished nations (e.g., Sodom).    Their arrogance blinds them to the lessons of history.
        Mockery of prophets is a sign of deep-rooted denial, leading to divine punishment.
            The disbelievers admit they’d have abandoned idols if not for stubbornness—showing their faith is based on pride, not truth.    Some worship their desires (materialism, ego) instead of Allah.
        Allah compares them to mindless cattle—they follow instincts without reasoning.
        Willful ignorance and slavery to desires are worse than animal behavior. 
        Allah recounts how past nations were destroyed for rejecting their prophets—just as today's disbelievers mock the truth, blindly follow desires, and face the same fate, proving that stubborn arrogance leads only to ruin.

DAY 170:Furkan 21-34

• DAY 170:Furkan 21-34

   Those who do not expect to meet Us say, “If only the angels were sent down to us, or we could see our Lord!” They have certainly been carried away by their arrogance and have entirely exceeded all limits. ˹But˺ on the Day they will see the angels, there will be no good news for the wicked, who will cry, “Keep away! Away ˹from us˺!” Then We will turn to whatever ˹good˺ deeds they did, reducing them to scattered dust. ˹But˺ on that Day the residents of Paradise will have the best settlement and the finest place to rest. ˹Watch for˺ the Day the heavens will burst with clouds, and the angels will be sent down in successive ranks. True authority on that Day will belong ˹only˺ to the Most Compassionate. And it will be a hard day for the disbelievers. And ˹beware of˺ the Day the wrongdoer will bite his nails ˹in regret˺ and say, “Oh! I wish I had followed the Way along with the Messenger! Woe to me! I wish I had never taken so-and-so as a close friend. It was he who truly made me stray from the Reminder after it had reached me.” And Satan has always betrayed humanity. The Messenger has cried, “O my Lord! My people have indeed received this Quran with neglect.” Similarly, We made enemies for every prophet from among the wicked, but sufficient is your Lord as a Guide and Helper. The disbelievers say, “If only the Quran had been sent down to him all at once!” ˹We have sent it˺ as such ˹in stages˺ so We may reassure your heart with it. And We have revealed it at a deliberate pace. Whenever they bring you an argument, We come to you with the right refutation and the best explanation. Those who will be dragged into Hell on their faces will be in the worst place, and are ˹now˺ farthest from the ˹Right˺ Way.

      The disbelievers mockingly demanded visible angels or Allah Himself as "proof."    Allah exposes their arrogance—they wouldn’t believe even if angels came.     On Judgment Day, angels will appear, but only to seal their punishment.
     
          The disbelievers’ good deeds (if any) will be worthless—like scattered dust.    Believers, meanwhile, will enjoy eternal peace in Paradise.    A vivid depiction of Judgment Day: the sky tearing apart as angels descend.
     
          On Judgment Day, disbelievers will weep in regret:     For rejecting the Prophet’s guidance.      For following misleading friends or leaders (e.g., tribal chiefs, Satan).    Satan abandons his followers when they need him most.
    
          The Prophet (sav) will grieve that his people ignored the Quran.    Allah consoles him: Every prophet faced opposition, but divine support is enough.
     
          Disbelievers mocked the Quran’s gradual revelation, but this:       Strengthened the Prophet’s heart (e.g., through continuous support).        Allowed deeper reflection and practical application.    Every challenge to Islam is met with divine truth and wisdom.    The disbelievers’ humiliating fate: Dragged into Hell face-first.
     
      Disbelievers' arrogant demands for signs will lead only to regret on Judgment Day, while the Quran—revealed in wisdom—stands as eternal truth, exposing the fate of those who reject it and the triumph of those who believe.

DAY 169:Furkan 15-20

• DAY 169:Furkan 15-20

   Say: “Is this better or the Garden of Eternity which the righteous have been promised, as a reward and ˹an ultimate˺ destination? There they will have whatever they wish for, forever. That is a promise ˹to be sought after˺, binding on your Lord.” ˹Watch for˺ the Day He will gather them along with what they used to worship besides Allah, and ask ˹the objects of worship˺, “Was it you who misled these servants of Mine, or did they stray from the Way ˹on their own˺?” They will say, “Glory be to You! It was not right for ˹others like˺ us to take any lords besides You, but You allowed enjoyment for them and their forefathers ˹for so long˺ that they forgot ˹Your˺ remembrance and became a doomed people.” ˹The doomed will be told˺, “Your gods have clearly denied your claims. So now you can neither ward off ˹the punishment˺ nor get any help.” And whoever of you does wrong, We will make them taste a horrible punishment. We never sent any messenger before you ˹O Prophet˺, who did not eat food and go about in market-places. We have made some of you a trial for others. Will you ˹not then˺ be patient? And your Lord is All-Seeing.

      Paradise vs. Hell: Eternal rewards for believers far outweigh worldly temptations.
      False Gods Exposed: Idols/deities will abandon their worshippers on Judgment Day.
      Prophets Were Mortal: Their humanity was a test—rejecting them for being "ordinary" is foolish.
      Divine Justice is Inescapable: No excuses or alliances will save disbelievers from punishment.
      
      Allah promises eternal Paradise for the righteous, exposes the failure of false gods on Judgment Day, and affirms that prophets were human—rejecting them brings inescapable punishment, while patience and faith lead to divine reward.

DAY 168:Furkan 1-14

• DAY 168:Furkan 1-14

  •  Blessed is the One Who sent down the Decisive Authority to His servant, so that he may be a warner to the whole world. ˹Allah is˺ the One to Whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, Who has never had ˹any˺ offspring, nor does He have a partner in ˹governing˺ the kingdom. He has created everything, ordaining it precisely. Yet they have taken besides Him gods who cannot create anything but are themselves created. Nor can they protect or benefit themselves. Nor can they control life, death, or resurrection. The disbelievers say, “This ˹Quran˺ is nothing but a fabrication which he¹ made up with the help of others.” Their claim is totally unjustified and untrue! And they say, “˹These revelations are only˺ ancient fables which he has had written down, and they are rehearsed to him morning and evening.” Say: “This ˹Quran˺ has been revealed by the One Who knows the secrets of the heavens and the earth. Surely He is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” And they say ˹mockingly˺, “What kind of messenger is this who eats food and goes about in market-places ˹for a living˺? If only an angel had been sent down with him to be his co-warner, or a treasure had been cast down to him, or he had  a garden from which he may eat!” And the wrongdoers say ˹to the believers˺, “You are only following a bewitched man.” See ˹O Prophet˺ how they call you names! So they have gone so ˹far˺ astray that they cannot find the ˹Right˺ Way. Blessed is the One Who—if He wills—can give you far better than ˹all˺ that: gardens under which rivers flow, and palaces as well. In fact, they deny the Hour. And for the deniers of the Hour, We have prepared a blazing Fire. Once it sees them from a distance, they will hear it fuming and growling. And when they are tossed into a narrow place inside ˹Hell˺, chained together, then and there they will cry out for ˹instant˺ destruction. ˹They will be told,˺ “Do not cry only once for destruction Today, but cry many times over!”

        The Quran is the Criterion (Al-Furqan) between truth and falsehood.
        Allah is the Only True God—idols are powerless.
        Rejecting the Prophet and mocking him leads to severe punishment.
        The Hereafter is real, and Hell is the destination for deniers.
        
        Allah reveals the Quran as the ultimate guide, condemns false gods, warns disbelievers of Hell, and affirms the Prophet’s truthfulness despite mockery.

DAY 167: Yasin 76-83

• DAY 167: Yasin 76-83

   So do not let their words grieve you. Indeed, We ˹fully˺ know what they conceal and what they reveal. Do people not see that We have created them from a sperm-drop, then—behold!—they openly challenge ˹Us˺? And they argue with Us—forgetting they were created—saying, “Who will give life to decayed bones?” Say: “They will be revived by the One Who produced them the first time, for He has ˹perfect˺ knowledge of every created being. ˹He is the One˺ Who gives you fire from green trees, and—behold!—you kindle ˹fire˺ from them. Can the One Who created the heavens and the earth not ˹easily˺ resurrect these ˹deniers˺?” Yes ˹He can˺! For He is the Master Creator, All-Knowing. All it takes, when He wills something ˹to be˺, is simply to say to it: “Be!” And it is! So glory be to the One in Whose Hands is the authority over all things, and to Whom ˹alone˺ you will ˹all˺ be returned.

      Resurrection is Logical:
          If Allah created you from nothing, recreating you is easier .
      Nature Proves Allah’s Power:
          Fire from trees, vast heavens —all point to His might.
      "Be, and It Is":
          A cosmic reality check: Humans depend on Allah for every breath.
      Final Accountability:
          No escape from His dominion or judgment    
          
          Allah’s power to create the universe from nothing—and His command "Be!" that brings all things into existence—makes resurrection effortless, silencing the disbelievers’ doubts and affirming that every soul will ultimately return to the One who holds absolute dominion over all things.
  
  From creating life from a drop to igniting fire from green trees, Allah’s limitless power proves resurrection is certain—and to Him alone is the final return.
  )

DAY 166: Yasin 65-75

• DAY 166: Yasin 65-75

   On this Day We will seal their mouths, their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will testify to what they used to commit. Had We willed, We could have easily blinded their eyes, so they would struggle to find their way. How then could they see? And had We willed, We could have transfigured them on the spot, so they could neither progress forward nor turn back.And whoever We grant a long life, We reverse them in development. Will they not then understand? We have not taught him poetry, nor is it fitting for him. This ˹Book˺ is only a Reminder and a clear Quran to warn whoever is ˹truly˺ alive and fulfil the decree ˹of torment˺ against the disbelievers. Do they not see that We singlehandedly created for them, among other things, cattle which are under their control? And We have subjected these ˹animals˺ to them, so they may ride some and eat others. And they derive from them other benefits and drinks. Will they not then give thanks? Still they have taken other gods besides Allah, hoping to be helped ˹by them˺. They cannot help the pagans, even though they serve the idols as dedicated guards.

      Body as a Witness:
          No deed is hidden; even limbs testify .
      Allah’s Total Control:
          He could deform or blind disbelievers at will , yet gives them time to repent.
      Quran ≠ Poetry:
          It’s a living warning, not human art.
       Poetry relies on human imagination; the Quran is divine revelation.
      Its purpose:     Warning for those spiritually "alive" (open to truth).    Justice for those who reject (their fate is earned).
      Idolatry is Illogical:
          Worship what you own (livestock) or what can’t even help itself?
          
          On Judgment Day, the disbelievers’ own limbs will testify against them, exposing every sin they tried to hide—while their worthless idols, powerless to help, become their accusers, proving Allah’s absolute justice and the folly of denying His countless blessings.
          
          Your body will reveal your secrets, your idols will betray you, and only Allah’s justice remains—undeniable and final.

DAY 165: Yasin 55-64

• DAY 165: Yasin 55-64

  Indeed, on that Day the residents of Paradise will be busy enjoying themselves. They and their spouses are in pleasant shades, reclining on couches. There they will have fruits and whatever they desire. And “Peace!” will be ˹their˺ greeting from the Merciful Lord. ˹Then the disbelievers will be told,˺ “Step away ˹from the believers˺ this Day,  you criminals. Did I not command you, O  Children of Adam, not to follow Satan, for he is truly your sworn enemy, but to worship Me ˹alone˺? This is the Straight Path. Yet he already misled great multitudes of you. Did you not, then, understand? This is the Hell you were warned of. Enter it today, because you have been persistently denying (the truth).”

      Paradise vs. Hell: A Stark Contrast
          Believers: Peace, joy, and fulfillment.
          Disbelievers: Shame, regret, and torment.
      Personal Accountability
          Allah’s commands were clear, but they chose to follow Satan.
      Satan’s Role in Misguidance
          He is an open enemy, yet people still obey him.
      Justice is Served
          No one is wronged; Hell is the direct result of their choices.
          After resurrection , the groups are separated.
      Rejection of Signs:
          Those who ignored Allah’s signs now face the consequences.    
          While the people of Paradise rejoice in eternal peace and fulfillment—their every desire met by Allah’s mercy—the disbelievers face the Hell they once mocked, as their own choices and Satan’s deception seal their fate in a just and undeniable reckoning.
          
          Paradise rewards the faithful with divine peace, while Hell exposes the disbelievers’ fatal error: trading Allah’s guidance for Satan’s empty promises.

DAY 164: Yasin 45-54

• DAY 164: Yasin 45-54

   ˹Still they turn away˺ when it is said to them, “Beware of what is ahead of you ˹in the Hereafter˺ and what is behind you ˹of destroyed nations˺ so you may be shown mercy.” Whenever a sign comes to them from their Lord, they turn away from it. And when it is said to them, “Spend (to the needy) from the provision Allah has given to you”, the disbelievers say to the believers, “Shall we feed those whom Allah could have fed, if Allah so willed? You are clearly astray!”  And they ask ˹the believers˺, “When will this threat come to pass, if what you say is true?” They do not await except one blast which will seize them while they are disputing. Then they will not be able to make a ˹last˺ will, nor can they return to their own people. The Trumpet will be blown ˹a second time˺, then—behold!—they will rush from the graves to their Lord. They will cry, “Woe to us! Who has raised us up from our place of rest? This must be what the Most Compassionate warned us of; the messengers told the truth!” It will only take one Blast, then at once they will all be brought before Us. On that Day no soul will be wronged in the least, nor will you be rewarded except for what you used to do.

      Death Comes Suddenly: Arrogance blinds people until it’s too late.
      Resurrection is Real: Every soul will confront its denial.
      Deeds Determine Destiny: No favoritism—only accountability.
      Mercy Rejected: Allah warns repeatedly, but disbelievers choose ruin.
      When death and judgment arrive suddenly, the disbelievers’ mockery turns to despair as they realize—too late—that every warning was true, and no soul will be wronged on the Day all are resurrected for perfect justice.
      
      They laughed at the warnings until the Trumpet blew—now their deeds alone decide their fate, and not a soul is wronged.

DAY 163: Yasin 33-44

• DAY 163: Yasin 33-44

   There is a sign for them in the dead earth: We give it life, producing grain from it for them to eat. And We have placed in it gardens of palm trees and grapevines, and caused springs to gush forth in it, so that they may eat from its fruit, which they had no hand in making. Will they not then give thanks? Glory be to the One Who created all ˹things in˺ pairs—˹be it˺ what the earth produces, their genders, or what they do not know! There is also a sign for them in the night: We strip from it daylight, then—behold!—they are in darkness. The sun travels for its fixed term. That is the design of the Almighty, All-Knowing. As for the moon, We have ordained ˹precise˺ phases for it, until it ends up ˹looking˺ like an old, curved palm stalk. It is not for the sun to catch up with the moon, nor does the night outrun the day. Each is travelling in an orbit of their own.Another sign for them is that We carried their ancestors ˹with Noah˺ in the fully loaded Ark, and created for them similar things to ride in. If We willed, We could drown them: then no one would respond to their cries, nor would they be rescued except by mercy from Us, allowing them enjoyment for a ˹little˺ while.

      Resurrection is Logical:
          If Allah revives dead land and controls life/death cycles, human resurrection is easy for Him.
      Gratitude vs. Denial:
          People benefit from Allah’s signs (crops, ships, cosmic order) yet refuse to acknowledge Him.
      Divine Precision in Creation:
          The sun, moon, and earth operate with flawless balance—proof of a Designer.
      Lessons from History:
          Noah’s story warns that Allah’s punishment is certain for those who reject truth .
            
              Continuation of Arguments:
          Earlier, disbelievers mocked resurrection . Here, Allah provides physical evidence (land, cosmos, history) to refute them.
      Mercy Amid Power:
          Despite ability to destroy , Allah gives people time to repent —echoing the lone believer’s hope.
          
          Allah’s signs—from reviving dead land to the precision of the cosmos—prove His power and mercy, making resurrection as undeniable as the sunrise, yet only the grateful heed these lessons while the arrogant face inevitable justice.
          
          Nature screams Allah’s truth, but only those who listen will escape the fate of drowned nations like Noah’s people.

DAY 162: Yasin 13-32

• DAY 162: Yasin 13-32

   Give them an example ˹O Prophet˺ of the residents of a town, when the messengers came to them. We sent them two messengers, but they rejected both. So We reinforced ˹the two˺ with a third, and they declared, “We have indeed been sent to you ˹as messengers˺.” The people replied, “You are only humans like us, and the Most Compassionate has not revealed anything. You are simply lying!” The messengers responded, “Our Lord knows that we have truly been sent to you. And our duty is only to deliver ˹the message˺ clearly.” The people replied, “We definitely see you as a bad omen for us. If you do not desist, we will certainly stone you ˹to death˺ and you will be touched with a painful punishment from us.” The messengers said, “Your bad omen lies within yourselves. Are you saying this because you are reminded ˹of the truth˺? In fact, you are a transgressing people.” Then from the farthest end of the city a man came, rushing. He advised, “O my people! Follow the messengers. Follow those who ask no reward of you, and are ˹rightly˺ guided. And why should I not worship the One Who has originated me, and to Whom you will be returned. How could I take besides Him other gods whose intercession would not be of any benefit to me, nor could they save me if the Most Compassionate intended to harm me? Indeed, I would then be clearly astray. I do believe in your Lord, so listen to me.” ˹But they killed him, then˺ he was told ˹by the angels˺, “Enter Paradise!” He said, “If only my people knew of how my Lord has forgiven me, and made me one of the honourable.” We did not send any soldiers from the heavens against his people after his death, nor did We need to. All it took was one ˹mighty˺ blast, and they were extinguished at once. How regretful for such beings! No messenger ever came to them without being mocked. Have the deniers not considered how many peoples We destroyed before them who never came back to life again? Yet they will all be brought before Us.

      Rejecting Messengers = Rejecting Allah – Disbelief is rooted in arrogance, not logic.
      One Righteous Person Matters – The lone believer’s courage outweighed the mob’s tyranny.
      Divine Punishment is Swift & Just – No army was needed; a single command sufficed.
      History’s Warning – Destroyed nations (e.g., ‘Ad, Thamud) are reminders for later generations.

      Allah’s messengers are inevitably rejected by arrogant people—like the parable of the three messengers and the martyred believer—but divine justice swiftly punishes disbelievers while rewarding the faithful, proving that truth and resurrection are undeniable.
     
      Arrogance blinds nations to truth, but one sincere believer’s courage outweighs a thousand disbelievers—and Allah’s justice always prevails.

DAY 161: Yasin 1-12

• DAY 161: Yasin 1-12
•  Yâ-Sĩn. By the Quran, rich in wisdom! You ˹O Prophet˺ are truly one of the messengers upon the Straight Path. ˹This is˺ a revelation from the Almighty, Most Merciful, so that you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, and so are heedless. The decree ˹of torment˺ has already been justified against most of them, for they will never believe. ˹It is as if˺ We have put shackles around their necks up to their chins, so their heads are forced up, and have placed a barrier before them and a barrier behind them and covered them ˹all˺ up, so they fail to see ˹the truth˺. It is the same whether you warn them or not—they will never believe. You can only warn those who follow the Reminder and are in awe of the Most Compassionate without seeing Him. So give them good news of forgiveness and an honourable reward. It is certainly We Who resurrect the dead, and write what they send forth and what they leave behind. Everything is listed by Us in a perfect Record.

      Affirmation of the Prophet’s Mission:
          Allah begins with an oath by the Quran , emphasizing its divine wisdom.    Directly confirms that Prophet Muhammad (sav) is truly a messenger  sent with a straight path—the path of Tawheed (monotheism) and truth.   His role: to warn a people whose ancestors were not warned, meaning the Arabs of Makkah had long been without a prophet, leaving them in ignorance.
      The Futility of Warning the Stubborn:
          Allah decrees that most disbelievers will reject faith due to their arrogance.     Powerful metaphors describe their spiritual blindness:    Shackles on their necks → They cannot bow to truth.      Barriers before and behind them  → They’re blocked from guidance.
          Result: Whether the Prophet warns them or not, they won’t believe. This highlights divine knowledge—Allah knew their hearts were sealed.
      Only the Receptive Will Benefit:
          The warning only benefits those who: Follow the Reminder (Quran).    Fear Allah unseen (have Taqwa—consciousness of Him even when no one watches).  For them, there’s glad tidings of forgiveness and a noble reward (Paradise).
      Allah’s Ultimate Power & Judgment:
          Allah asserts His ability to resurrect the dead—a central theme in Surah Yasin (later verses elaborate on this).  Every deed is recorded, including:    What they did in life (what they sent ahead).
     Their lasting impact (what they left behind, e.g., children, knowledge, oppression).
          All is preserved in "Imam Mubin" (a clear register, likely the Preserved Tablet).
  
  Allah affirms Prophet Muhammad (sav) as His true messenger sent to warn a heedless people, but only those who fear Him unseen will accept guidance—while the stubborn disbelievers, blinded by arrogance, will face inevitable justice on the Day of Resurrection.

DAY 160: Jinn 16-28

• DAY 160: Jinn 16-28

   Had the deniers followed the Right Way, We would have certainly granted them abundant rain to drink— as a test for them. And whoever turns away from the remembrance of their Lord will be admitted by Him into an overwhelming punishment.The places of worship are ˹only˺ for Allah, so do not invoke anyone besides Him. Yet when the servant of Allah stood up calling upon Him ˹alone˺, the pagans almost swarmed over him. Say: “I call only upon my Lord, associating none with Him ˹in worship˺.It is not in my power to harm or benefit you. No one can protect me from Allah ˹if I were to disobey Him˺, nor can I find any refuge other than Him. ˹My duty is˺ only to convey ˹the truth˺ from Allah and ˹deliver˺ His messages.” And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger will certainly be in the Fire of Hell, to stay there for ever and ever. Only when they see what they have been threatened with will they know who is weaker in helpers and inferior in manpower. I do not know if what you are promised is near or my Lord has set a distant time for it. ˹He is the˺ Knower of the unseen, disclosing none of it to anyone, except messengers of His choice. Then He appoints angel-guards before and behind them to ensure that the messengers fully deliver the messages of their Lord—though He ˹already˺ knows all about them, and keeps account of everything.”

      Blessings Follow Obedience: Steadfastness in Islam attracts Allah’s mercy.
      Mosques Are for Pure Tawheed: No shirk is tolerated in worship.
      Prophets Are Warners, Not Controllers: They deliver the message but don’t control outcomes.
      Judgment Day is Real: Arrogant disbelievers will face humiliation.
      Allah Guards His Message: The Quran is protected from distortion.
      
      Allah warns that steadfastness in faith brings blessings, affirms the Prophet’s (sav) role as only a messenger with no divine power, and emphasizes that Judgment Day is certain—with His knowledge absolute and His revelation perfectly guarded.
  
  Stay firm on Islam to earn Allah’s blessings, remember prophets only deliver the message, and trust that Allah’s judgment and protection of the Quran are absolute.

   Say: “It has been revealed to me that a group of jinn listened ˹to the Quran,˺ and said ˹to their fellow jinn˺: ‘Indeed, we have heard a wondrous recitation. It leads to Right Guidance so we believed in it, and we will never associate anyone with our Lord ˹in worship˺. ˹Now, we believe that˺ our Lord—Exalted is His Majesty—has neither taken a mate nor offspring, and that the foolish of us used to utter ˹outrageous˺ falsehoods about Allah. We certainly thought that humans and jinn would never speak lies about Allah. And some men used to seek refuge with some jinn—so they increased each other in wickedness. And those ˹humans˺ thought, just like you ˹jinn˺, that Allah would not resurrect anyone ˹for judgment˺. ˹Earlier˺ we tried to reach heaven ˹for news˺, only to find it filled with stern guards and shooting stars. We used to take up positions there for eavesdropping, but whoever dares eavesdrop now will find a flare lying in wait for them. Now, we have no clue whether evil is intended for those on earth, or their Lord intends for them what is right. Among us are those who are righteous and those who are less so. We have been of different factions. ˹Now,˺ we truly know that we cannot frustrate Allah on earth, nor can we escape from Him ˹into heaven˺. When we heard the guidance ˹of the Quran˺, we ˹readily˺ believed in it. For whoever believes in their Lord will have no fear of being denied ˹a reward˺ or wronged. And among us are those who have submitted ˹to Allah˺ and those who are deviant. So ˹as for˺ those who submitted, it is they who have attained Right Guidance. And as for the deviant, they will be fuel for Hell.’”

      Universality of Islam: The message is not just for humans but also for jinn, showing that Allah’s guidance is all-encompassing.
      Rejection of Shirk (Polytheism): The jinn themselves admit that attributing partners to Allah (like sons, wives, or demigods) is false.
      Warning Against Arrogance: Humans often assume they are the only intelligent beings, but the jinn’s existence is a humbling reminder of Allah’s vast creation.
      
          Don’t Fear the Unknown Unnecessarily: The jinn themselves fear Allah—so believers should rely on Him, not superstitions.
      Avoid Seeking Help from Jinn (Magic, Fortune-tellers): Many cultures try to "ally" with jinn for power, but Islam forbids this (it’s shirk).
      Stay Humble: If even jinn submit to Allah, humans have no excuse for arrogance.
      The Unseen World is Real: Belief in jinn is part of aqeedah (Islamic creed)—denying them is a rejection of Quranic teachings.
     
      The jinn’s confession in Surah Al-Jinn proves the Quran’s divine truth, confirms that both humans and jinn are accountable to Allah, and warns against arrogance and shirk—while affirming the existence of an unseen world parallel to our own.

• The Covenant & The Test: From Adam to the Hour – Humanity’s Struggle Against Arrogance, Forgetfulness, and Satan’s Deception

  Surah Al-A'raf begins with the creation of Adam and his expulsion from Paradise after Iblis (Satan) refuses to bow to him, earning eternal enmity—yet Allah grants Iblis respite to mislead humanity. The surah then chronicles the destruction of past nations (like Noah, Hud, Salih) who rejected their prophets, showing how arrogance and denial invite divine punishment. A central focus is the story of Musa (Moses) and the Israelites, who—despite witnessing miracles like the parting of the sea—repeatedly rebelled (e.g., worshipping the calf, rejecting divine laws), oscillating between repentance and ingratitude. The surah exposes Satan’s tactics (tempting humans to idolatry, pride, and forgetfulness) and contrasts them with the primordial covenant where every soul recognized Allah before birth. It concludes with a blueprint for believers: reject Satan’s whispers by seeking refuge in Allah, uphold patience and forgiveness, listen humbly to the Qur’an, and prostrate in submission—because true success lies not in power or knowledge, but in sincere surrender to the One who guides.
  
  Humanity’s test is to resist Satan’s traps, learn from the failures of past nations, and return to Allah—like the Israelites who faltered but were forgiven when they repented, and like the believers who, when tempted, immediately remember their Lord and correct their course.

DAY 157: A'raf 199-206

   Be tolerant and command what is right: pay no attention to foolish people. If Satan should prompt you to do something, seek refuge with Allah(cc)- He is all hearing, all knowing. Indeed, when Satan whispers to those who are  God conscious, they remember ˹their Lord˺ then they start to see ˹things˺ clearly. But the devils persistently plunge their ˹human˺ associates deeper into wickedness, sparing no effort. If you do not bring them a sign ˹which they demanded˺, they ask, “Why do you not make it yourself?” Say, “I only follow what is revealed to me from my Lord. This ˹Quran˺ is an insight from your Lord—a guide and a mercy for those who believe.” When the Quran is recited, listen to it attentively and be silent, so you may be shown mercy. Remember your Lord inwardly with humility and reverence and in a moderate tone of voice, both morning and evening. And do not be one of the heedless. Surely, those who are with your Lord (etc: God conscious) are never too proud to perform acts of worship to Him, but they glorify His Praise and prostrate themselves before Him.

  The Triad of Wisdom;
      Forgiveness (العفو): Overlook minor offenses—don’t let pride fuel conflicts.    Enjoin Good (المعروف): Actively promote justice, kindness, and truth.    Avoid the Ignorant (الجاهلين): Disengage from pointless arguments with those who refuse wisdom.
   A three-step strategy for dealing with societal friction.
  Satan’s Whisper vs. Divine Refuge:
      For Believers:  When Satan tempts (e.g., anger, doubt), they instantly seek Allah’s protection and regain clarity.
      For Disbelievers:   Satan’s whispers deepen their misguidance like quicksand.
  Responding to Demands for “Miracles”:
      Challenge:    Pagans mocked the Prophet (sav): "Why no instant miracle?". Reply:    The Qur’an itself is the ultimate sign—a living miracle of guidance.
          When the Qur’an is recited, listen in silence to absorb its mercy.
  The Humility of Worship:
      Internal Remembrance:     Dhikr (remembrance of Allah) should be humble and sincere—not performative. Prostration as True Submission:   Angels and true believers bow without arrogance—unlike Pharaoh or the proud.
          Real strength lies in submission to Allah, not worldly dominance.
  
  Allah commands forgiveness and wisdom in adversity, warns against Satan’s whispers, affirms the Qur’an as the ultimate sign, and crowns true honor in humble prostration—while the arrogant drown in their own pride.

DAY 156: A'raf 189-198

   He is the One Who created you from a single soul, then from it made its spouse so he may find comfort in her. After he had been united with her, she carried a light burden that developed gradually. When it grew heavy, they prayed to Allah, their Lord, “If you grant us good offspring, we will certainly be grateful.” But when He granted their descendants good offspring, they associated false gods in what He has given them. Exalted is Allah above what they associate ˹with Him˺! Do they associate ˹with Allah˺ those ˹idols˺ which cannot create anything, but are in fact created; which cannot help them, or even help themselves? And if you ˹idolaters˺ call upon them for guidance, they cannot respond to you. It is all the same whether you call them or remain silent. Those ˹idols˺ you invoke besides Allah are created beings like yourselves. So call upon them and see if they will answer you, if your claims are true! Do they have feet to walk with? Or hands to hold with? Or eyes to see with? Or ears to hear with? Say: “Call upon your associate-gods and conspire against me without delay!  Indeed, my Protector is Allah Who has revealed this Book. For He ˹alone˺ protects the righteous. But those ˹false gods˺ you call besides Him can neither help you nor even themselves.” If you ˹idolaters˺ call them to guidance, they cannot hear. And you may see them facing towards you, but they cannot see.

  Human Nature & Ingratitude:
          Allah created humanity from a single soul (Adam) and his mate (Eve) for companionship.       A couple prays for a healthy child, promising gratitude, but after receiving the blessing, they turn to shirk (e.g., attributing luck to idols/astrology).
          Humans are prone to short-term gratitude but often relapse into heedlessness.
  The Absurdity of Shirk:
          How can idols—created, powerless objects—be worshipped? They can’t even respond!        "Call your gods to help you—if they can!" (Spoiler: They can’t.)
          Shirk isn’t just wrong—it’s illogical.
  Powerlessness of False Gods:
          Do idols have body parts to act? No—they’re lifeless!    Muhammad (sav) mocks their helplessness and declares Allah as his sole protector.
          True power belongs only to the Creator, not creation.
  The Prophet’s Duty:
          The Prophet’s (sav) role is to deliver the message—not force belief.     He knows public defiance and hidden doubts of disbelievers.
          Focus on truth, not outcomes—judgment is with Allah.
  
  Allah exposes the irony of shirk—humans beg Him for children, then credit idols, while those false gods can’t even move! True power is Allah’s alone, and the Prophet’s (sav) duty is only to warn.

DAY 155: A'raf 187-188

   They ask you regarding the Hour, “When will it be?” Say, “That knowledge is only with my Lord. He alone will reveal it when the time comes. It is too tremendous for the heavens and the earth and will only take you by surprise.” They ask you as if you had full knowledge of it. Say, “That knowledge is only with Allah, but most people do not know.” Say, “I have no power to benefit or protect myself, except by the Will of Allah. If I had known the unknown, I would have benefited myself enormously, and no harm would have ever touched me. I am only a warner and deliverer of good news for those who believe.”

   The Hour is Allah’s Secret:
          The people mocked the Prophet (sav), demanding to know when the Day of Judgment would come (to test his credibility).    Only Allah knows its timing—not even angels or prophets are informed.    The Hour’s arrival will be sudden and overwhelming (like a thief in the night).
          Fixating on “when” is pointless—what matters is preparation through faith and deeds.
   The Prophet’s Humanity:
          Pagans accused the Prophet (sav) of being a “soothsayer” or claiming hidden knowledge.     Muhammad (sav) is human: He can’t benefit/harm himself—let alone others—without Allah’s will.  He doesn’t know the unseen: If he did, he’d be rich and avoid all suffering (like the disbelievers’ taunts).    His role is clear: A warner and bearer of glad tidings—not a fortune-teller.
          Reject superstitions (e.g., relying on “holy men” for miracles). True guidance is in the Qur’an.
  
  The Day of Judgment’s timing is Allah’s alone, and Prophet Muhammad (sav)—like all humans—knew only what Allah revealed, proving his mission was about truth, not magic or hidden secrets.

DAY 154: A'raf 179-186

   Indeed, We have destined many jinn and humans for Hell. They have hearts they do not understand with, eyes they do not see with, and ears they do not hear with. They are like cattle. In fact, they are even less guided! Such ˹people˺ are ˹entirely˺ heedless. Allah has the Most Beautiful Names. So call upon Him by them, and keep away from those who abuse His Names. They will be punished for what they used to do. And among those We created is a group that guides with the truth and establishes justice accordingly.  As for those who deny Our signs, We will gradually draw them to destruction in ways they cannot comprehend. I ˹only˺ delay their end for a while, surely My plan is firm. Have they not ever given it a thought? Their fellow man is not insane. He is only sent with a clear warning. Have they ever reflected on the wonders of the heavens and the earth, and everything Allah has created, and that perhaps their end is near? So what message after this ˹Quran˺ would they believe in? Whoever Allah allows to stray, none can guide, leaving them to wander blindly in their defiance.

  The “Cattle” Mentality
          Some humans/jinn have physical senses (eyes, ears, hearts) but fail to recognize truth—like livestock that only eats and sleeps.
          Worse than cattle: Animals follow instinct; these people choose ignorance despite intellect.       Those who chase money/fame without asking “Why was I created?”
  The Power of Allah’s Names
  Call on Allah by His Beautiful Names (e.g., Ar-Rahman, Al-Hakeem).
      Warning: Mocking or distorting His Names (e.g., denying His mercy/justice) leads to punishment.  Some people do guide others with truth—these are the saved ones.
  Gradual Punishment
          Allah doesn’t always punish immediately. He lets rejecters dig their own graves (e.g., Pharaoh’s arrogance grew until drowning). A corrupt person given wealth/time—but their heart hardens further.
  A Call to Reflect
      Defending Prophet Muhammad (sav):    Critics called him “possessed” for preaching monotheism. Allah replies: He’s just a warner!   Look at Creation!    The universe’s order proves Allah’s power—yet people ignore it until death approaches.
  No Guidance for the Arrogant
          Those who choose disbelief are left to spiral. Allah doesn’t force misguidance—He confirms people’s own choices.
  
  Allah warns that those who ignore truth—despite having senses and intellect—are like mindless cattle; He lets them drown in their arrogance, while the humble who seek His Names and reflect on creation find guidance.
  )

•  O Allah! Don’t let me be like the one who knew the truth but threw it away. Make me from those who learn, act on knowledge, and remember You until You are enough for them. Guide my heart, and don’t leave me to myself—or I’ll go astray.

   Recite to them the story of the one whom We gave Our verses, but he abandoned them, so Satan took hold of him, and he became  of those who went astray. If We had willed, We would have elevated him with Our signs, but he clung to this life—following his evil desires. His example is that of a dog: if you chase it away, it pants, and if you leave it, it ˹still˺ pants. This is the example of the people who deny Our signs. So narrate ˹to them˺ stories ˹of the past˺, so perhaps they will reflect.  What an evil example of those who denied Our signs! They ˹only˺ wronged their own souls. Whoever Allah guides is truly guided. And whoever He leaves to stray, they are the ˹true˺ losers.

   Presents a stark parable about a man who was given divine knowledge but chose worldly desires over truth—leading to his spiritual ruin. These verses serve as a warning against intellectual arrogance and a reminder of the consequences of abandoning guidance.
  The Man Who Abandoned Divine Knowledge
      Who is This Man?:  it’s a general parable for any scholar/wise person who betrays truth.     He "detached himself" (intazara) from Allah’s signs—meaning he:   Knew the truth but willfully ignored it.     Used his knowledge to justify evil (like corrupt scholars today).
          When he abandoned truth, Satan "pursued him"—showing how deviation begins with a choice to turn away. A warning against using religious knowledge for fame, power, or wealth (e.g., justifying oppression).
  The Parable of the Dog:
      Simile of the Dog:    A dog pants whether chased or left alone—it’s restless by nature.   Similarly, this man’s soul was never at peace:
              Chased by truth → He fled (panting in anxiety).
              Left to desires → He remained unsatisfied (still panting).
          Those who reject divine signs live in perpetual spiritual emptiness, no matter their worldly status.
  The Ultimate Loss:
      Self-Destruction:    Denying Allah’s signs isn’t just ignorance—it’s "wronging themselves" (ظَالِمِيْنَ).     Example: A doctor who knows smoking kills but does it anyway.   
  Allah guides those who seek truth (like the magicians who prostrated).   Those who choose arrogance (like Pharaoh) are "left" to their misguidance—a consequence of their free will.
  
  Allah warns of those who possess knowledge but trade it for desires—like a dog panting endlessly, they ruin their souls; true guidance belongs only to those who humble themselves before divine signs.
  )

DAY 151: A'raf 171-174

• DAY 151: A'raf 171-174

   And [did We not say,] when We caused Mount Sinai to quake above the children of Israel as though it were a [mere] shadow, and they thought that it would fall upon them, "Hold firmly to that ˹Scripture˺ which We have given you and observe its teachings so perhaps you might remain conscious of God". And ˹remember˺ when your Lord brought forth from the loins of the children of Adam their descendants and had them testify regarding themselves. ˹Allah asked,˺ “Am I not your Lord?” They replied, “Yes, You are! We testify.” ˹He cautioned,˺ “Now you have no right to say on Judgment Day, ‘We were not aware of this.’ Nor say, ‘It was our forefathers who had associated others ˹with Allah in worship˺ and we, as their descendants, followed in their footsteps. Will you then destroy us for the falsehood they invented?’” This is how We make our signs clear, so perhaps they will return ˹to the Right Path˺.

   The Israelites’ Special Covenant:
      Allah imposed a nation-specific covenant on the Israelites at Mount Sinai (symbolized by the mountain’s shaking/suspension) to:   Force them to take divine law seriously (Torah).    Warn them: Disobedience = collapse (like the mountain looming over them).
      They failed repeatedly (e.g., golden calf, Sabbath-breaking).
  The Universal Human Covenant:
      Before birth, every human soul—including the Israelites—already testified to Allah’s Lordship ("  أَلَسْتَ بِرَبِّكُمْ " / "Am I not your Lord?").
          "Your failure isn’t because you ‘didn’t know’—your souls already acknowledged Me!   Even the Israelites’ ancestors (like Adam, Noah) knew this truth. You have no excuse."
   No Excuses for Disobedience:
          The Israelites’ failure despite miracles + our failure despite fitrah shows:    Knowledge alone isn’t enough—we must choose to submit.
  Allah’s Mercy is Universal:
              Even if your parents/community stray, you’re accountable but not doomed—return to your fitrah.
  The Qur’an’s Warning:
          Surah Al-A’raf exposes:   Religious hypocrisy (claiming faith while ignoring covenants).   Cultural religiosity (blindly following ancestors like the Israelites did).
                
              Allah gave the Israelites a tangible covenant at Sinai—and they broke it—but He reminds them (and us) that every soul already acknowledged Him before birth, making rebellion a choice, not an accident

   "O Allah! Do not let my heart deviate after You have guided me. Grant me Your mercy, for You are the Bestower.
  Make me among Your worshipping, grateful servants—those who hold firmly to Your Book and uphold Your covenant.
  Do not let me be like those who forgot You, so You made them forget themselves. Forgive me and have mercy on me, for You are the Accepter of Repentance, the Most Merciful." Amin..

DAY 149: A'raf 167-170

   And (remember,) when your Lord declared that He would send against them others who would make them suffer terribly until the Day of Judgment. Indeed, your Lord is swift in punishment, but He is certainly All-Forgiving, Most Merciful. We divided them through the land in groups—some were righteous, others were less so. We tested them with prosperity and adversity, so perhaps they would return (to the Right Path). Then they were succeeded by other generations who inherited the Scripture. They indulged in unlawful gains, claiming, “We will be forgiven ˹after all˺.” And if similar gain came their way, they would seize it. Was a covenant not taken from them in the Scripture that they would not say anything about Allah except the truth? And they were already well-versed in its teachings. But the ˹eternal˺ Home of the Hereafter is far better  for all who are conscious of God. Will you not then understand? As for those who firmly abide by the Scripture and follow its teachings—surely We never discount the reward of those acting righteously.

Persistent rebellion invites long-term consequences, but Allah’s mercy is always accessible to the sincere.
   Scattering and Testing
      Diaspora as Punishment & Test: The Israelites were scattered worldwide, forming distinct communities (Jews of Arabia, Europe, etc.).    Trials of Prosperity and Hardship:     Wealth: To test gratitude (e.g., Jewish merchants in Medina).     Persecution: To test patience (e.g., Spanish Inquisition). Adversity and comfort are both divine tests to spur spiritual growth.
    The Corruption of Later Generations
      Hypocrisy of Inheritors of Scripture:    New generations claimed faith but prioritized worldly gains (e.g., charging interest despite Torah’s ban).      Their attitude: "We’ll be forgiven anyway!" (trivializing divine justice).   Neglect of the Covenant:     They abandoned the true purpose of the Scripture: to uphold it sincerely and study it deeply. Religious inheritance is meaningless without personal accountability and adherence.
    The Reward of the Steadfast
      True Believers: Those who hold firmly to the Scripture (e.g., pious rabbis/scholars) and follow its teachings are promised eternal reward.    Rejection of Corruption: Unlike the greedy inheritors (v. 169), these are the righteous remnant who preserve divine truth.  Allah’s justice ensures that no sincere effort in faith is wasted.
  
  Allah’s justice spans generations—He punishes persistent rebellion but rewards the steadfast, while warning against those who inherit religion superficially and exploit it for worldly gain.

DAY 148: A'raf 163-166

• DAY 148: A'raf 163-166

   Ask them about ˹the people of˺ the town which was by the sea, who broke the Sabbath.¹ During the Sabbath, ˹abundant˺ fish would come to them clearly visible, but on other days the fish were never seen. In this way We tested them for their rebelliousness. When some of ˹the righteous among˺ them questioned ˹their fellow Sabbath-keepers˺, “Why do you ˹bother to˺ warn those ˹Sabbath-breakers˺ who will either be destroyed or severely punished by Allah?” They replied, “Just to be free from your Lord’s blame, and so perhaps they may abstain.” When they ignored the warning they were given, We rescued those who used to warn against evil and overtook the wrongdoers with a dreadful punishment for their rebelliousness. But when they stubbornly persisted in violation, We said to them, “Be disgraced like apes!”.

  The Sabbath Test and the Fishing Ban:
          A Jewish community living by the sea was commanded to observe the Sabbath (no work, including fishing).     As a test, Allah made fish abundant and visible only on Sabbath days (tempting them to break the law).    Some devised a loophole: They laid nets on Friday to catch fish on Sunday, claiming they "technically" didn’t work on the Sabbath.    Others openly fished on the Sabbath, defying Allah’s command.    A group warned the sinners, asking, "Why preach to people doomed to punishment?" They replied: "To fulfill our duty to Allah and hope they repent."
          Allah tests people with temptations; legal loopholes don’t justify disobedience.   The righteous must speak truth, even if it seems futile.
  Divine Punishment and Transformation:
      Consequences for Disobedience:    Those who ignored warnings were punished severely.     The most defiant were transformed into apes (metaphorically).  Symbolism: Apes represent loss of humanity—acting on base desires without reason or dignity.
  In Arabic and Eastern cultures, the phrase "be like apes" (كالقردة) carries a deep symbolic meaning—it refers to people who lose self-control, act on base instincts, and abandon reason and dignity in pursuit of their desires.
          Those who forbade evil were spared, showing Allah’s justice.
          Deliberate, persistent sin degrades people spiritually and morally.  Divine punishment serves as a warning to future generations.
  When the Israelites arrogantly violated the Sabbath despite clear warnings, Allah punished the defiant by degrading them (like apes), while saving those who stood for truth—proving that deliberate disobedience strips away humanity’s spiritual dignity.

DAY 147: A'raf 158-162

   Say, “O people, I am a messenger of Allah (sent) to you from the One to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. There is no god but He. He gives life and brings death. So, believe in Allah and His Messenger, the Ummiyy (unlettered) prophet, who believes in Allah and in His words, and follow him, so that you may find the right path.”
  There are some among the people of Moses who guide with the truth and establish justice accordingly. We divided them into twelve tribes—each as a community. And We revealed to Moses, when his people asked for water, “Strike the rock with your staff.” Then twelve springs gushed out. Each tribe knew its drinking place. We shaded them with clouds and sent down to them manna and quails(chicken-like birds) , ˹saying˺, “Eat from the good things We have provided for you.” They ˹certainly˺ did not wrong Us, but wronged themselves. (Recall) when it was said to them, “Live in this town and eat there from anywhere you like, and say, Hittah (we seek forgiveness) and enter the gate prostrating yourselves, so that We forgive your errors. We shall give much more to those who are good in their deeds.” But the wrongdoers among them changed the words they were commanded to say. So We sent down a punishment from the heavens upon them for their wrongdoing.

  Universal Message of Muhammad (sav):
      Command to Prophet Muhammad (sav):    To declare his prophethood to all humanity (not just Arabs or a specific group).     Emphasizes Allah’s absolute sovereignty over life, death, and creation.
      Description of the Prophet (sav):        "Unlettered" (Ummi): Confirms his lack of formal schooling, highlighting the Qur’an’s divine origin.     "Believes in Allah and His words": His complete trust in revelation.      People must believe in Allah and follow His Messenger to attain guidance.
  Islam’s message is universal, and following the Prophet (sav) is the path to salvation.
  The Righteous Among Musa’s People:
      Despite the Israelites’ frequent rebellions, a group among them upheld truth and justice.   Even in communities that falter, there are always those who remain steadfast.
   Blessings and Miracles for the Tribes:
  The Israelites were divided into 12 clans, each with distinct identities.    Miracles for Their Sustenance:    Water from the rock: Musa (AS) strikes it, and 12 springs emerge—one for each tribe (a symbol of divine care).   Manna & quails: Supernatural food provided in the desert.    Clouds for shade: Protection from the scorching sun.   Despite these blessings, they rebelled, harming only themselves (not Allah).
  Allah’s favors are abundant, but disobedience leads to self-destruction.
  The Command to Enter Jerusalem & Their Disobedience:
      Allah’s Directive:  To enter the Holy Land (Jerusalem) humbly, saying:    "Relieve us [of our burden]." (A prayer for forgiveness.)
     "Enter the gate bowing" (a sign of humility).   Promise: If obeyed, they would be forgiven and blessed further.  The sinful among them mocked the command:
   Arrogance and mockery of divine commands invite punishment.
  
  Allah’s blessings are abundant for those who obey Him, but defiance—like the Israelites’ mockery of His command—brings punishment, while the righteous who uphold truth are eternally honored.

DAY 146: A'raf 154-157

   And when the anger of Mûsâ (Moses) was calmed down, he took up the Tablets; and in their inscription was guidance and mercy for those who fear their Lord. And Mûsâ (Moses) chose out of his people seventy (of the best) men for Our appointed time and place of meeting, and when they were seized with a violent earthquake, he said: "O my Lord, if it had been Your Will, You could have destroyed them and me before; would You destroy us for the deeds of the foolish ones among us? It is only Your Trial by which You lead astray whom You will, and keep guided whom You will. You are our Walî (Protector), so forgive us and have Mercy on us: for You are the Best of those who forgive. Grant us good things in this world and in the life to come. We turn to You." God said, "I bring My punishment on whoever I will, but My mercy encompasses all things.  And so I shall confer it on those who are conscious of Me and spend in charity,
  and who believe in Our messages; They are˺ the ones who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whose description they find in their Torah and the Gospel. He commands them to do good and forbids them from evil, permits for them what is lawful and forbids to them what is impure, and relieves them from their burdens and the shackles that bound them. ˹Only˺ those who believe in him, honour and support him, and follow the light sent down to him will be successful.”

  The Tablets of Guidance & Mercy
      After the golden calf incident, Musa (AS) calms down and retrieves the shattered tablets (symbolizing renewal of covenant).    The tablets contain Allah’s guidance and mercy—highlighting that divine law is a blessing for the righteous.
   Even after sin, Allah’s mercy is available to those who repent and uphold His commands.
  The Seventy Elders & Musa’s Intercession
      Musa (AS) selects 70 leaders to seek Allah’s forgiveness, but they are struck by an earthquake for lingering doubts.    Musa (AS) pleads for mercy, arguing:     "Why punish us for the foolish ones’ actions?"
          "This is Your test—You guide whom You will."
  Leadership carries responsibility; trials separate the sincere from the hypocrites.
  The Dua for Worldly & Hereafter Good
      The Israelites ask Allah for blessings in both worlds.   Allah responds:   Punishment is for the defiant.      Mercy is for the righteous, givers of zakah, and believers in His signs.
   True success combines faith, charity, and obedience.
  The Prophecy of Muhammad (sav)
      Allah foretells the coming of the "unlettered Prophet" (Muhammad )—mentioned in the Torah & Gospel.   His mission:     Command good, forbid evil.        Remove burdens (e.g., excessive Jewish restrictions).
          Grant purity (halal) and abolish impurity (haram).   Promise: Those who follow him will attain success.
   Muhammad (sav) is the universal mercy prophesied in earlier scriptures.
  
  After their rebellion, the Israelites were given another chance through Musa’s intercession, while Allah’s ultimate mercy was promised to those who would follow the final Prophet —the one foretold to bring light and ease to humanity.

DAY 145: A'raf 148-153

   In the absence of Moses, his people made from their ˹golden˺ jewellery an idol of a calf that made a lowing sound. Did they not see that it could neither speak to them nor guide them to the ˹Right˺ Path? Still they took it as a god and were wrongdoers. Later, when they were filled with remorse and realized they had gone astray, they cried, “If our Lord does not have mercy on us and forgive us, we will certainly be losers.” When Moses returned to his people, ˹totally˺ furious and sorrowful, he said, “What an evil thing you committed in my absence! Did you want to hasten your Lord’s torment?” Then he threw down the Tablets and grabbed his brother by the hair, dragging him closer. Aaron pleaded, “O son of my mother! The people overpowered me and were about to kill me. So do not ˹humiliate me and˺ make my enemies rejoice, nor count me among the wrongdoing people.” Moses prayed, “My Lord! Forgive me and my brother! And admit us into Your mercy. You are the Most Merciful of the merciful.” Those who worshipped the calf will certainly be afflicted with wrath from their Lord as well as disgrace in the life of this world. This is how We reward those who invent falsehood. But those who commit evil, then repent and become ˹true˺ believers, your Lord will certainly be All-Forgiving, Most-Merciful.

  The Golden Calf Incident
  In Musa’s (AS) 40-day absence, the Israelites—led by Samiri (as mentioned in Surah TaHa 20:85)—melt their gold jewelry to create a golden calf, worshipping it as a god.        The calf made a hollow sound (like a cow’s moo), yet they believed it had power.    They ignored Harun’s (AS) warnings (see Surah TaHa 20:90–91).    Once Musa (AS) returns, they realize their folly and beg for mercy.
  Weak faith leads to quick regression, even after witnessing miracles.
  
  Musa’s (AS) Reaction & Harun’s (AS) Defense
          He throws the sacred tablets (symbolizing shattered covenant).      Grabs Harun (AS) by the beard, blaming him for failing to stop the people.  He recounts how the mob nearly killed him for opposing the calf.     Pleads with Musa (AS) not to humiliate him further.   He seeks forgiveness for himself and Harun (AS), showing compassion despite fury.
  Even prophets can err in judgment, but humility rectifies mistakes.
  
  Divine Justice & Mercy
         They face Allah’s wrath and humiliation in this world.    Allah forgives those who sincerely repent, emphasizing His mercy.
  Divine justice is stern for arrogance, but mercy awaits the repentant.
      
  Even after seeing God's miracles, the Israelites worshipped a fake calf, but when they realized their mistake and begged for mercy, Allah forgave them—showing He punishes wrongdoing but always gives another chance to those who truly repent.
