• DAY 147: A'raf 158-162

   Say, “O people, I am a messenger of Allah (sent) to you from the One to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. There is no god but He. He gives life and brings death. So, believe in Allah and His Messenger, the Ummiyy (unlettered) prophet, who believes in Allah and in His words, and follow him, so that you may find the right path.”
  There are some among the people of Moses who guide with the truth and establish justice accordingly. We divided them into twelve tribes—each as a community. And We revealed to Moses, when his people asked for water, “Strike the rock with your staff.” Then twelve springs gushed out. Each tribe knew its drinking place. We shaded them with clouds and sent down to them manna and quails(chicken-like birds) , ˹saying˺, “Eat from the good things We have provided for you.” They ˹certainly˺ did not wrong Us, but wronged themselves. (Recall) when it was said to them, “Live in this town and eat there from anywhere you like, and say, Hittah (we seek forgiveness) and enter the gate prostrating yourselves, so that We forgive your errors. We shall give much more to those who are good in their deeds.” But the wrongdoers among them changed the words they were commanded to say. So We sent down a punishment from the heavens upon them for their wrongdoing.

  Universal Message of Muhammad (sav):
      Command to Prophet Muhammad (sav):    To declare his prophethood to all humanity (not just Arabs or a specific group).     Emphasizes Allah’s absolute sovereignty over life, death, and creation.
      Description of the Prophet (sav):        "Unlettered" (Ummi): Confirms his lack of formal schooling, highlighting the Qur’an’s divine origin.     "Believes in Allah and His words": His complete trust in revelation.      People must believe in Allah and follow His Messenger to attain guidance.
  Islam’s message is universal, and following the Prophet (sav) is the path to salvation.
  The Righteous Among Musa’s People:
      Despite the Israelites’ frequent rebellions, a group among them upheld truth and justice.   Even in communities that falter, there are always those who remain steadfast.
   Blessings and Miracles for the Tribes:
  The Israelites were divided into 12 clans, each with distinct identities.    Miracles for Their Sustenance:    Water from the rock: Musa (AS) strikes it, and 12 springs emerge—one for each tribe (a symbol of divine care).   Manna & quails: Supernatural food provided in the desert.    Clouds for shade: Protection from the scorching sun.   Despite these blessings, they rebelled, harming only themselves (not Allah).
  Allah’s favors are abundant, but disobedience leads to self-destruction.
  The Command to Enter Jerusalem & Their Disobedience:
      Allah’s Directive:  To enter the Holy Land (Jerusalem) humbly, saying:    "Relieve us [of our burden]." (A prayer for forgiveness.)
     "Enter the gate bowing" (a sign of humility).   Promise: If obeyed, they would be forgiven and blessed further.  The sinful among them mocked the command:
   Arrogance and mockery of divine commands invite punishment.
  
  Allah’s blessings are abundant for those who obey Him, but defiance—like the Israelites’ mockery of His command—brings punishment, while the righteous who uphold truth are eternally honored.
