• DAY 307: Saffat 1 - 21

   By those who stand in rows, then by those who prevent firmly, And those who recite the message, surely your God is but One, Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises. Verily, We have decorated the nearest sky with an adornment, the stars, and (have made them) a security against every rebellious devil. They cannot listen to the Upper Realm and are hit from every side to be driven off, and for them there is a lasting punishment; however, if one snatches a little bit, he is pursued by a bright flame. Now ask them, “Are they stronger in the formation of their bodies, or those (other beings) that We have created?” Certainly, We did create them from sticky clay. But you wonder (at their denial), and they mock (at the idea of an Hereafter). And when any advice is given to them, they pay no heed to it. And when they see a sign, they make fun of it, and say, “This is nothing but an obvious magic. When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? And our forefathers [as well]?" Say, ‘Yes indeed, and you will be humiliated.’ It will be only one blast, and at once they will be observing.  And they will be saying, “Woe to us; this is the Day of Judgment.”  (It will be said to them,) “This is the Day of Judgment that you used to deny.”

      The Majesty and Power of Allah: Established through the oaths by the angels and the description of the guarded heavens.
      The Absolute Oneness of God (Tawhid): The central creedal statement of the passage.
      The Reality of the Unseen: The existence and functions of angels, the protected nature of divine knowledge.
      Refutation of Deniers: A direct challenge to those who deny resurrection, arguing from the logic of creation.
      The Certainty of the Day of Judgment: A vivid and terrifying depiction of the sudden arrival of that Day and the immediate regret of those who denied it. 
  
      Allah swears by His majestic angels to affirm His absolute Oneness, refutes the disbelievers' mockery of resurrection, and paints a stark picture of their sudden horror and regret on the Day of Judgment they once denied.
