• DAY 348: Zukhruf 1 - 15

   Ḥâ-Mĩm. By the clear Book! Certainly, We have made it a Quran in Arabic so perhaps you will understand. And indeed, it is—in the Master Record with Us—highly esteemed, rich in wisdom. Should We then turn the ˹Quranic˺ Reminder away from you ˹simply˺ because you have been a transgressing people? ˹Imagine˺ how many prophets We sent to those ˹destroyed˺ before! But no prophet ever came to them without being mocked. So We have destroyed those who were stronger than these (people of Makkah) in power, and the example of the earlier people has already passed. Should you ask them as to who has created the heavens and the earth, they will certainly say, “They are created by the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing,” the One who has made the earth a cradle for you, and has made for you pathways therein, so that you may be guided, and the One who has sent down water from the sky in due measure. Then We have revived with it a dead town. In the same way, you will be brought forth (alive from the graves), and the One who has created all the pairs, and has made for you the boats and the cattle that you ride, so that you may sit firmly on their backs, and remember your Lord’s blessings once you are settled on them, saying, “Glory be to the One Who has subjected these for us, for we could have never done so ˹on our own˺. And surely to our Lord we will ˹all˺ return.” Still the pagans have made some of His creation out to be a part of Him. Indeed, humankind is clearly ungrateful.

      Divine Origin of the Quran: It is a clear, wise, Arabic revelation from a supreme, preserved source.
      Historical Pattern of Denial: Prophets are always mocked, and deniers are ultimately destroyed.
      Logical and Natural Proofs of Tawhid: The creation of heavens, earth, rain, pairs, and domesticated animals all point rationally to a single, wise, powerful Creator.
      The Irrationality of Shirk: The climax is the stark contradiction between acknowledging the Supreme Creator (v.9) and then worshiping created beings as partners (v.15), which is the height of ingratitude.
      Connection between Worldly Life and Hereafter: Blessings are to be enjoyed with gratitude and with consciousness of our ultimate return to God.
      
      The opening verses of Surah Az-Zukhruf establish a powerful contrast: while clear signs in creation and revelation logically point to a single, wise Creator, mankind's ingratitude is starkly revealed in their irrational act of worshiping created beings as His partners.
