  DAY 11: Qalam 20-29

   So, they called out each other as the morning broke, [Saying], "Go early to your crop if you would cut the fruit".So they went off, whispering to one2 another, saying :‘Make sure no poor person enters the garden today!'.And they proceeded early, totally fixated on their purpose.But when they saw it (the place of the ruined garden), they said, ‘We must have lost our way! , No- we are ruined!’. The most sensible of them said, “Did I not urge you to say, ‘Allah willing.’?” They replied, “Glory be to our Lord! We have truly been wrongdoers.”

      Acknowledge Allah’s Will in All Matters:
  
          The garden owners failed to say "If Allah wills" (InshaAllah) when making their plans, reflecting their arrogance and self-sufficiency.
  
          Lesson: We must always recognize that nothing happens without Allah’s permission. Whether we are making plans, pursuing goals, or enjoying blessings, we should remain humble and acknowledge that everything is in Allah’s hands.
  
          Quranic Reminder: "And never say of anything, 'Indeed, I will do that tomorrow,' except [when adding], 'If Allah wills.'" (Surah Al-Kahf, 18:23-24)
  
      Share What Allah Has Given You:
  
          The garden owners conspired to exclude the poor from benefiting from their garden, showing their greed and lack of compassion.
  
          Lesson: Allah’s blessings are not meant to be hoarded; they are a trust from Him. We are obligated to share our wealth, resources, and time with those in need.
  
          Quranic Reminder: "And spend from what We have provided for you before death approaches one of you and he says, 'My Lord, if only You would delay me for a brief term so I would give charity and be among the righteous.'" (Surah Al-Munafiqun, 63:10)
  
      Do Not Be Greedy or Arrogant:
  
          The garden owners’ greed and arrogance led to their downfall. They believed they were in control of their blessings and neglected their duty to others.
  
          Lesson: Greed and arrogance are destructive traits that distance us from Allah’s mercy. We must remain grateful for what we have and avoid becoming attached to worldly possessions.
  
          Quranic Reminder: "Indeed, Allah does not like those who are self-deluding and boastful." (Surah An-Nisa, 4:36)
  
      Repent as Soon as You Realize Your Mistake:
  
          When the garden owners saw the destruction of their garden, they immediately recognized their wrongdoing and repented, saying, "Exalted is our Lord! Indeed, we were wrongdoers."
  
          Lesson: Repentance (Tawbah) is a powerful act of returning to Allah. No matter how grave our mistakes, Allah’s mercy is always available to those who sincerely repent.
  
          Quranic Reminder: "Say, 'O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.'" (Surah Az-Zumar, 39:53)
  
      Listen to the Voice of Reason and Righteousness:
  
          The "most moderate" among the garden owners reminded them of their duty to exalt Allah and acknowledge His will.
  
          Lesson: We should always seek and listen to righteous advice, even when others around us are consumed by greed or arrogance. Surrounding ourselves with people who remind us of Allah’s commands is crucial for staying on the right path.
  
          Quranic Reminder: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression." (Surah Al-Ma’idah, 5:2)
  
      Worldly Blessings Are Temporary and Fragile:
  
          The garden, which seemed abundant and secure, was destroyed overnight. This shows the temporary nature of worldly blessings.
  
          Lesson: We should not become overly attached to worldly possessions, as they can be taken away at any moment. Instead, we should focus on using our blessings to earn Allah’s pleasure and prepare for the Hereafter.
  
          Quranic Reminder: "Whatever you have will end, but what Allah has is lasting." (Surah An-Nahl, 16:96)
  
      Divine Justice Is Swift and Absolute:
  
          The calamity struck suddenly, while the garden owners were asleep, showing that divine justice can come at any moment.
  
          Lesson: We must always be mindful of our actions and strive to live righteously, knowing that Allah’s justice is swift and absolute.
  
          Quranic Reminder: "And fear a Day when you will be returned to Allah. Then every soul will be compensated for what it earned, and they will not be wronged." (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:281)
