DAY 20: Muzammil 6-8
Rising and praying at night impresses (mind and heart) most strongly and (makes) recitation more certain and upright. For during the day, you are over-occupied (with worldly duties).Remember the name of your Lord and devote yourself to Him exclusively.
(
Night as a Time for Worship: The night is highlighted as the ideal time for prayer, Quranic recitation, and reflection, as it allows for greater focus and sincerity.
Day as a Time for Responsibilities: The day is acknowledged as a time for worldly duties, but this does not negate the importance of spiritual practices. Instead, it emphasizes the need to balance both.
Remembrance and Devotion: Regardless of the time, the believer is encouraged to remember Allah and devote themselves entirely to Him. This ensures that the heart remains connected to Allah, even during the busiest moments of life.
Practical Lessons from Verses 6–8:
Prioritize Night Prayer (Tahajjud): The night is a special time for worship, and believers should strive to wake up for Tahajjud, even if it’s for a short period.
Balance Worldly and Spiritual Life: While the day is for work and responsibilities, the night should be dedicated to spiritual rejuvenation and connection with Allah.
Engage in Dhikr: Remembrance of Allah should be a constant practice, whether during the day or night. This helps maintain spiritual awareness and devotion.
Complete Devotion to Allah: The ultimate goal is to dedicate oneself entirely to Allah, prioritizing His pleasure in all aspects of life.
These verses remind us that while the world demands our time and energy, our ultimate purpose is to worship and remember Allah. The night provides a unique opportunity to reconnect with our Creator, reflect on His message, and seek His guidance. By balancing our worldly responsibilities with spiritual practices, we can lead a life that is both productive and deeply connected to Allah.
