• DAY 23: Muzammil 20

  Surely your Lord knows that you ˹O Prophet˺ stand ˹in prayer˺ for nearly two-thirds of the night, or ˹sometimes˺ half of it, or a third, as do some of those with you. Allah ˹alone˺ keeps a ˹precise˺ measure of the day and night. He knows that you ˹believers˺ are unable to endure this, and has turned to you in mercy.1 So recite ˹in prayer˺ whatever you can from the Quran. He knows that some of you will be sick, some will be travelling throughout the land seeking Allah’s bounty, and some fighting in the cause of Allah. So recite whatever you can from it. And establish Salāt ( الصَّلَاةَ ), and pay Zakāt ( الزَّكَاةَ ),  and lend God a good loan (by spending in His cause and for the needy). And whatever good you will send ahead for your own-selves, you will find it with Allah much better in condition, and much greater in reward. And seek forgiveness from Allah. Indeed Allah is Most-Forgiving, Very-Merciful.

      Flexibility in Worship: Islam is a religion of ease, and Allah does not burden His servants beyond their capacity. Night prayer and Quranic recitation are encouraged, but they should be done within one’s means.
  
      Balancing Spirituality and Worldly Life: Believers are not required to abandon their worldly responsibilities for the sake of worship. Instead, they should strive to balance both.
  
      Core Acts of Worship: Despite the flexibility, certain acts of worship (like Salah and Zakah) remain obligatory and must be prioritized.
  
      Allah’s Mercy and Forgiveness: Allah is understanding of human limitations and is always ready to forgive those who seek His mercy.
  
      Reward for Good Deeds: Every good deed, no matter how small, is recorded and will be rewarded by Allah in the best possible way.
  
  
      Do What You Can: Worship should be consistent and sincere, but it should not become a source of hardship. Recite the Quran and pray at night to the best of your ability.
  
      Balance is Key: Fulfill your worldly responsibilities while also dedicating time to worship and spiritual growth.
  
      Prioritize Obligatory Acts: Ensure that you fulfill the obligatory acts of worship (like Salah and Zakah) before focusing on voluntary acts.
  
      Seek Allah’s Forgiveness: Regularly repent and seek Allah’s mercy, as He is the Most Forgiving and Merciful.
  
      Trust in Allah’s Rewards: Any good deed you do, whether big or small, will be rewarded by Allah in the best possible way.
