  • DAY 27: Muddathir 16-23

No! He has been stubbornly hostile to Our revelation: I will make his fate unbearable, Indeed, he thought and planned ( about what he would say concerning the Qur’ān ) . May he be condemned! How evil was what he planned! May he be condemned even more! How evil was what he put forward! Then he re-contemplated ˹in frustration˺, then he frowned and scowled, then turned his back ˹on the truth˺ and acted arrogantly.

Intellectual Arrogance: Some people reject faith because they believe science, philosophy, or materialism has "disproven" religion. This is a form of arrogance if they dismiss the Quran without sincere study or reflection.

Moral Relativism: Those who reject divine guidance in favor of subjective morality or societal trends are also addressed in these verses.

Pride in Worldly Success: Wealth, power, and status can lead people to feel self-sufficient and dismissive of Allah’s message, just as the disbeliever in these verses did.

Hostility Toward Faith: In an age where religion is often mocked or marginalized, these verses remind us that such attitudes are not new and will be held accountable.
