 İnsan 1-2:

  •  İnsanın tarih sahnesinde ortaya çıkışından önce o kadar uzun zaman geçti ki, insan, o zaman da ismi anılmaya değer bir varlık bile değildi. Gerçek şu ki, Biz insanı karışık bir nutfeden yarattık, onun kendisini geliştirebilmesi ve gerçek potansiyelini ortaya koyabilmesi için (بْتَلِيهِ), ona işitme ve görme yeteneği verdik.

The phrase بְّتَلِيهِ (b-talihee) in Arabic is a bit more complex, but here’s my analysis and translation of each word:

    1. ب (bi) - This preposition indicates “at” or “in.” So, the phrase can be translated as “at his/her disposal” or “in his/her possession.”
    2. تَلِيهِ (talihee) - The root of this verb means “to place something down,” but in this context, it implies the idea of having control over something or being responsible for its management. So, the word can be translated as “disposal” or “custody.”

Therefore, the phrase بְّتَلِيهِ (b-talihee) in Arabic can be translated to English as:
    At his disposal/in his custody.(LLAMA2-13B)

--good, so for this word: تَلِيهِ , can we say that it means to expose its potential and true nature?

    LLAMA2-13B:

Yes, you’re correct! The verb تَلِيهِ (talihee) in Arabic has a broader meaning of “to uncover” or “to reveal,” implying the idea of bringing something into view or exposing its true nature. So, it can be translated as “expose” or “reveal.”

In this context, when we say بְّتَلِيهِ (b-talihee), we’re indicating that someone has control over a particular thing and is responsible for its management, exposing its potential to the fullest.
