  • De ki:' Ey yahudiler! (يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ هَادُوا), eğer siz, diğer bütün insanları dışlayarak tek kendinizin Allah(cc)'ın dostları olduğunu iddaa ediyorsanız, hadi ölümü temenni edin de, bir an önce O'na kavuşun!'.

As a verb, هُود (hūd) can be understood to mean "to deviate" or "to stray" from the path of Allah. In this sense, the term هُودِي (hūdiyy) can be seen as a description of anyone who deviates from the straight path, regardless of their religious or ethnic background.

In Islamic theology, the concept of هُود (hūd) is closely related to the idea of ضلالة (ḍalālah), which means "misguidance" or "error." When an individual or a community deviates from the path of Allah, they are said to be in a state of ضلالة, and their actions are considered to be هُود (hūd).

In this broader sense, the term هُودِي (hūdiyy) can be applied to anyone who rejects the guidance of Allah, whether they are from the Children of Israel or not. This understanding is supported by various Quranic verses, such as:

Surah Al-A'raf (7:146): "And I will turn away from My signs those who are arrogant in the earth, and even if they see all the signs, they will not believe in them. And if they see the way of righteousness, they will not take it as a way, but if they see the way of error, they will take it as a way. That is because they denied Our signs and were heedless of them."
Surah Al-Furqan (25:44): "Do you think that most of them hear or understand? They are but like cattle, nay, they are even farther astray!"

In these verses, the Quran describes those who reject Allah's guidance as being in a state of هُود (hūd), regardless of their religious or ethnic background.LLAM3-70B
