Cuma 9-10:

Unfortunately, in many Islamic countries, the Khutbah (sermon) has been used as a platform to promote the agenda of the ruling government or regime, rather than focusing on the spiritual guidance and reminders that are the core purpose of the Jumu'ah prayer.
This can be a distortion of the original purpose of the Khutbah, which is to provide spiritual guidance, remind the congregation of their duties towards Allah, and offer wisdom and advice on how to live a righteous life. When the Khutbah is used to promote political agendas, it can lead to a watering down of its spiritual significance and potentially even misguide the congregation.
In an ideal Islamic society, the Khutbah should be a platform for the Imam to provide unbiased, impartial guidance, focusing on the teachings of the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The Imam should be free to deliver a sermon that inspires, educates, and reminds the congregation of their responsibilities towards Allah, without fear of reprisal or pressure from external authorities.
It's essential for Muslims to be aware of this potential misuse of the Khutbah and to strive for a return to the original purpose of the sermon, which is to nourish the spiritual growth and development of the Ummah (Islamic community).LLAMA3-70B
Unfortunately, many Muslims today are not vigilant enough about the misuse of the Khutbah. In some cases, the Khutbah has become a tool for political propaganda, and the Imams may be pressured or coerced into delivering sermons that promote the interests of the ruling elite rather than the teachings of Islam.
It's essential for Muslims to be aware of this issue and to take steps to ensure that the Khutbah remains a platform for spiritual guidance and reminders, rather than a tool for political manipulation. This requires a certain level of awareness, education, and critical thinking among Muslims, as well as a willingness to speak out against any misuse of the Khutbah.
Moreover, Muslims need to hold their Imams and religious leaders accountable for delivering sermons that are grounded in the Quran and the Sunnah, rather than serving the interests of politicians or special interest groups. By doing so, Muslims can help restore the dignity and purpose of the Khutbah, and ensure that it remains a source of inspiration, guidance, and spiritual growth for the Ummah.
It's a challenging task, but it's crucial for the revitalization of Islamic thought and practice in today's world.LLAMA3-70B
