  • DAY 425: Tur 1 - 16

    • By Mount Ṭûr! And by the Book written on open pages ˹for all to read˺! And by the ˹Sacred˺ House frequently visited! And by the canopy raised ˹high˺! And by the seas set on fire! Indeed, the punishment of your Lord will come to pass— none will avert it— on the Day the heavens will be shaken violently, and the mountains will be blown away entirely. Then woe on that Day to the deniers— those who amuse themselves with falsehood! ˹It is˺ the Day they will be fiercely shoved into the Fire of Hell. ˹They will be told,˺ “This is the Fire which you used to deny. Is this magic, or do you not see? Burn in it! It is the same whether you endure ˹it˺ patiently or not. You are only rewarded for what you used to do.”
      (
The Certainty of Judgment: Through a series of solemn oaths, the surah confirms that the Day of Reckoning is not a myth but a definite future event.
The Futility of Worldly Power: The oaths by creation show that the entire universe is under God's control and will be dismantled by His command, rendering human power and wealth utterly useless.
          Divine Justice:
The punishment of Hell is portrayed as a direct and fair recompense for the specific crime of mocking and denying the truth. The suffering is eternal and the regret is absolute.
          A Warning and a Comfort:
For the disbelievers in Mecca, it was a stark and urgent warning to change their ways. For the persecuted believers, it was a powerful source of comfort and reassurance that their patience would be vindicated and that the arrogant oppressors would face a just and inescapable consequence.

The solemn oaths and vivid warnings of Surah At-Tur (52:1-16) declare with absolute certainty that the Day of Judgment is inevitable, and those who mock the truth in this life will face an inescapable and just recompense in the next.
