  • DAY 512: Ali 'Imran 100-109

    • O believers! If you were to yield to a group of those who were given the Scripture, they would turn you back from belief to disbelief. How can you disbelieve when Allah’s revelations are recited to you and His Messenger is in your midst? Whoever holds firmly to Allah is surely guided to the Straight Path. O believers! Be mindful of Allah in the way He deserves,1 and do not die except in ˹a state of full˺ submission ˹to Him˺. And hold firmly together to the rope of Allah1 and do not be divided. Remember Allah’s favour upon you when you were enemies, then He united your hearts, so you—by His grace—became brothers. And you were at the brink of a fiery pit and He saved you from it. This is how Allah makes His revelations clear to you, so that you may be ˹rightly˺ guided. Let there be a group among you who call ˹others˺ to goodness, encourage what is good, and forbid what is evil—it is they who will be successful. And do not be like those who split ˹into sects˺ and differed after clear proofs had come to them. It is they who will suffer a tremendous punishment. On that Day some faces will be bright while others gloomy. To the gloomy-faced it will be said, “Did you disbelieve after having believed? So taste the punishment for your disbelief.” As for the bright-faced, they will be in Allah’s mercy, where they will remain forever. These are Allah’s revelations We recite to you ˹O Prophet˺ in truth. And Allah desires no injustice to ˹His˺ creation. To Allah ˹alone˺ belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And to Allah ˹all˺ matters will be returned ˹for judgment˺.
      (
This section is a direct, emotionally charged address to the believers, warning them about the influence of a hostile faction among the People of the Book, reminding them of their own sacred identity, and returning to the ultimate themes of divine unity, judgment, and mercy. It's a call to internal vigilance and spiritual integrity.
Verses 100-101: The Warning Against a Hostile Faction
A faction among the People of the Book wants to drag you back into disbelief. But how can you disbelieve while God's verses are recited and the Messenger is among you? Hold tightly to God—that's the straight path.
Verses 102-103: The Call to God-Consciousness and Unity
Fear God as He truly deserves, and die only in submission. Grip the rope of Allah together and don't divide. Remember you were once blood enemies on the edge of the Fire, and He joined your hearts and made you brothers.
Verse 104: The Mission of the Community

Let a group among you rise to invite to all good, command what is right, and forbid what is wrong. Those are the truly successful ones.
      Verses 105-107: Don't Become Divided
Don't be like those who splintered into sects after clear proofs came—theirs is a great punishment. On Judgment Day, some faces will shine bright in God's mercy forever; others will blacken and be asked, "Did you disbelieve after believing? Taste the punishment."
Verses 108-109: The Justice of God and the Return of All

These are God's true verses, recited in truth. God wants no injustice for creation. Everything in the heavens and earth belongs to Him, and all matters return to Him for final judgment.

Don't let hostile factions drag you back into disbelief—fear God deeply, cling tightly together to His rope, remember He saved you from the edge of the Fire, rise as a community commanding good and forbidding evil, and never divide like those before you, because on Judgment Day faces will either shine in eternal mercy or blacken in punishment, and all matters return to God who desires no injustice.
