DAY 458: Mutaffifin 18-36
- But no! The virtuous are certainly
bound for ’Illiyûn ˹in elevated Gardens˺— and what will make you realize
what ’Illiyûn is?— a fate ˹already˺ sealed, witnessed by those nearest
˹to Allah˺. Surely the virtuous will be in bliss, ˹seated˺ on ˹canopied˺
couches, gazing around. You will recognize on their faces the glow of
delight. They will be given a drink of sealed, pure wine, whose last sip
will smell like musk. So let whoever aspires to this strive
˹diligently˺. And this drink’s flavour will come from Tasnîm— a spring
from which those nearest ˹to Allah˺ will drink. Indeed, the wicked used
to laugh at the believers, wink to one another whenever they passed
by, and muse ˹over these exploits˺ upon returning to their own
people. And when they saw the faithful, they would say, “These ˹people˺
are truly astray,” even though they were not sent as keepers over the
believers. But on that Day the believers will be laughing at the
disbelievers, as they sit on ˹canopied˺ couches, looking on. ˹The
believers will be asked,˺ “Have the disbelievers ˹not˺ been paid back
for what they used to do?”

Verses 1–17 were about the Prison of Sijjeen and the doom of the cheaters. Verses 18–36 are the 180-degree pivot—the camera pans UP to 'Illiyin (The Highest Place) and the Bliss of the Righteous.
18–21. The Penthouse File: The record of the righteous is in 'Illiyin—the highest, most exalted place, witnessed by the angels closest to God.
22–24. Faces of Light: They are in bliss, reclining on couches. You'll see radiance (Nadrah) shining on their faces like the glow of a fresh dawn.
25–26. The Sealed Drink: They are given pure, sealed nectar—a drink whose seal is musk. (Meaning: Only the VIPs get to break that seal for the final, most exquisite sip).
27. The Mixer: It's mixed with Tasneem—the absolute finest spring of Paradise, reserved only for the Muqarraboon (Those Brought Near).
28. The Spring of the Elite: Tasneem is the top-shelf drink from which the nearest to God drink pure.
29–32. The Tables Turned: The sinners used to point and laugh at the believers, winking at each other and saying, "Look at these lost fools."
33. No Guardians: The mockers weren't sent as guardians over the believers. They had zero authority to judge.
34–35. The Ultimate Uno Reverse: This Day (Judgment), the believers are the ones laughing at the disbelievers from their high couches, looking on.
36. The Question: "Have the disbelievers been rewarded for what they used to do?"
Translation: "Did that laughter get you anywhere now?"
The mockery you endure for your faith today becomes the front-row seat to Tasneem and the view of 'Illiyin tomorrow.
